Kaleigha serves as the ULMS Events Manager, leading the planning and execution of events that expand access to ULMS resources, inspire community engagement, and create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.

“The reason why I’m in events is because of my grandma and my mother: their biggest thing, the legacy that they lived, was ensuring that everyone felt welcomed. Everyone felt like they had a space at the table. Everyone felt like they had something to do. They weren’t just bored and sitting there. They were actually fellowshipping.”

Fun Fact: Kaleigha’s love language is cooking for others!

David serves as a Program Manager for one of our signature initiatives, Career Bridge. He helps young adults overcome barriers by connecting them to education, employment, and career pathway opportunities that create lasting economic mobility and improve their quality of life.

“My whole mission in life is to try to make the world a better place. And I think helping people to find their place in the world is doing just that.”

Fun Fact: David was first introduced to the Urban League while attending our 24th Annual Breakfast in 2023. He was so inspired by the event that he sought a position within the agency to further deepen his connection to community.

Camille serves as a Program Manager in our Department of Advocacy and Community Engagement. She works alongside Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ communities to ensure their voices are heard, their stories are amplified, and their perspectives are represented in spaces where they are too often absent.

“My goal whenever I approach community is to never convince them to do something. It’s always been an exchange. I always try to share a piece of my story, that piece of bravery, in the hopes that they see worth in telling their own.”

James serves as our Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President, providing the strategic leadership, operational structure, and staff support that keep ULMS running effectively. His ability to navigate complexity while strengthening internal systems helps turn vision into action across the organization.

Bobby serves as our Homeless Outreach Supervisor, leading efforts to connect with vulnerable communities while providing direct support services and programming that create pathways to permanent housing and long-term economic stability.

“I share my life with a lot of people, to let em know I was right there where you were at doing the same thing. Just let em know about what I went through with my struggles and where I’m at now. If I can do it, you can do it. I’m showing up to my job and working as my purpose.”

Fun Fact: Bobby loves producing music in his spare time and has a custom built studio in his home!

Kurt serves as our Director of Public Health Equity, leading a team that educates the community about physical and mental health challenges while providing direct access to services that address the unique needs of Black and Brown communities.

As our in-house Visual Content Developer, Izzy is responsible for the visual identity of ULMS programs, our website, marketing materials, and signature events. Her eye for bold design and talent for bringing ideas to life through meaningful visuals help tell the stories of our community and the impact of our work.

“Whether I’m making art for women, or creating for Black and brown people, or for people who are always underserved, I think it’s important that space is taken up. And if I can do that through the graphics I’m doing here — letting people take up space — that’s what I’m trying to do. And that’s why I want it to be bold.”

Fun Fact: Izzy started her creative journey at the Boys and Girls Club doing tap dance and continued dancing until she graduated from the Tacoma School of the Arts High School.

Christian serves as a Grant Writer in the ULMS Fund Development Department. She cultivates funding partnerships, secures critical resources for ULMS programs and services, and shares the impact of our work with funders and community stakeholders.
